We still have pictures to hang and some accessories to add in, but this room in The Montgomery House is well on its way! Since I have two boys of my own, I love doing little boy rooms. Take a mix of plaids, stripes, textures, some different metals & wood, plus add in some antlers for this hunting family, and you’ve got a man-child room with lots of space to play. The colors aren’t match-matchy so toys and stuffed animals fit right in. We’ve got some storage on the other side of the room that you can’t see here but will be perfect for this little guy’s books and toys and it will all grow with him. Can’t wait to show you more once its finished!
Like anything you see here? Would love for you to share it on Facebook or pin it to your Pinboards! There are links below. As always, thanks for reading! ❤
Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing a little more of the house I’ve been working on for over a year- my first big project and a huge one at that. Its really a dream come true for me (not to mention, for the amazing homeowners who have put their trust and faith in me!). The floors went in on this beauty last week and the family will be moving in this week, so exciting!
Here’s the office moodboard. The wall color is Dover Gray that I talked about last week. The husband is a hunter so we had to have a space for his antlers!
And now here is the real thing, just after the floor installation. Those built ins are beautiful and painted in White Dove.
Here’s a view looking from the office into the foyer (before the floors went in, obviously). I love the doorway moldings and little transom over the hallway entrance! The color in the foyer (and most of the rest of the house) is my ever-favorite Silver Dollar by Olympic.
Thanks for reading, have a great Monday!
One of the biggest and longest running projects I have going on right now is for a dear friend who is building a beautiful new home that is almost done. The house itself is a craftsman style home. I can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful craftsman windows, doors, and details of this home!
The style we are looking to achieve is modern farmhouse and we are using a lot of neutral graphics and texture, texture, texture. We have been working together on this for over a year now and to see it coming into fruition is such a rewarding experience! She took a risk on me several years ago when she first hired me to decorate her son’s nursery and is actually a big part of the reason I have this website and the business that I have now! Today I’m sharing with you the vision for her new living room, dining room, and foyer.
She loves all things vintage, chippy, and shabby chic. She has some amazing pieces she’s found in places like Round Top, TX over the years and some beautiful old quilts handed down through her family. I’ve pushed her to add some modern and clean lines into the mix a little for some contrast and she’s really let me take the lead on that. I’m so excited to see how this all unfolds once we get everything into the house! The design boards I make are just conceptual and of course we’ve made some changes to these as we’ve shopped and made purchases, but I will definitely show you the “afters” when we get to that point!
