The Montgomery House - Big Boy Room Small WM_8The husband is a hunter.  He pulled out a bin of antlers from his garage and sorted through them until he found the perfect set (pair?).  He knew the story behind them and remembered his wife being pregnant at the time with their son.  I love that they have sentimental value and I think they look pretty cute paired with this clock!

Above the bed is another Lindsay Letter’s piece from her Hobby Lobby line.  Just perfect for a little boy’s room! The metal B was a Round Top find.

Here’s the other side of the room.  I promise I’ll share that sweet jack and jill bathroom with you next!

My favorite Ikea Kallax, once again making an appearance!  You know I love these things. I also have said this a million times, but I love to decorate with books.  Especially in a kid’s room- just look at all that fun color!  Nothing matchy-matchy here or stressing over “will this pillow case match?” When you use your kids’ toys and books as the color palette, everything matches.  Using neutral furniture and wall color gives us a simple base from which to add in all this color so its not overwhelming.

Here’s another glimpse into that bathroom.  Notice the transom window above the entrance and the beautiful craftsman moldings. Its little details like this that their builder did a great job with.
