Today I’m sharing another room in the Montgomery House. If you’re new here, this was a big project for me and a dream come true. My dear friend and client asked me to design her custom built home about two years ago. It was my first professional project and helped to launch the business I have now. I finished it up in April and my husband took the photos I’ve been slowly sharing. Click here for more of the posts about this house.

Okay onto the reason for today’s post- this dreamy master bedroom!
I love long white curtains with a black rod. I read somewhere that a black rod is like eyeliner for your windows. I completely agree. This is the only room we put curtains up in the Montgomery House. Because it is a craftsman style home, every window has these beautiful craftsman moldings. But the bedroom needed the curtains just for a more romantic feeling in my opinion. Since it is so neutral (and I love a neutral bedroom), the more fabrics and textures you can have the better. Curtains add to that. We still get a glimpse of the beautiful woodwork in between.
I’ve put this framed print in several master bedrooms lately. It is by the talented Lindsay Letters but it is part of the line she has available at Hobby Lobby.
Thanks so much for reading! Would love for you to sign up to follow via email in the sidebar if you’re new here or visiting from Honey We’re Home! (or even if you’ve been reading for a while and haven’t signed up yet <3)
